To maximize the performance of X-Pac® fabric, we recommend spot washing the affected area with a mild soap and water. Let air dry in the shade. Do not machine wash or dry as this may damage the fabric.
The diamond shape is called X-PLY®, a strategically placed fiber reinforcement inserted between the fabric components at the time of lamination. X-PLY® provides additional dimensional stability, tear strength, fabric structure, and reduces stretch. It also helps evenly distribute the load of the fabric to other areas.
Thanks to the impermeable polyester layer included in our laminate construction, X-Pac® is 100% waterproof to over 200psi due to its unique laminated construction.
X-Pac® is purpose built pack fabric. The technologies and components used to produce X-Pac® are taken directly from our sailcloth division which has been in existence since 1966. With over 50 years of experience developing yacht sailcloth where low stretch, stability, tear resistance, and durability are a must, you can be sure X-Pac® will meet your needs.
X-Pac® fabric is extremely durable due to the carefully selected components which are laminated under high pressure with our advanced cross-linking sailcloth adhesive system. This proprietary system results in an exceptionally strong bond between the components providing long-lasting strength and durability.
Yes, X-Pac® is seam sealable with commercially available sticky backed or heat activated seam seal tapes.
To conform to the Berry Amendment, all components of a given product must be domestically USA sourced. Any X-Pac® Tactical fabrics with the Berry Compliant identifier are certified as having 100% domestically USA sourced components, made in domestic facilities.
X-Pac® materials are not considered to be ballistic fabrics to resist puncture of a projectile, or other potential physical threats to the carrier. Rather X-Pac® materials are meant as a strong, durable, and lightweight material that can enhance carry solutions for ballistic products such as plate carriers.
